The Most Exciting Part of the Job

Under the stewardship of the Director of Summer School, the summer staff - which includes Lead Teachers, Assistants, and other support staff - are responsible for providing an instructional program based on grade level.

Working with our wonderful students!
Helping the Lead Teacher provide instruction that supports the development of the cognitive, emotional, social, physical and spiritual growth of the child
Assisting in the preparation of materials as directed by the Lead Teacher
Providing supervision and enriching activities during non-academic times including lunch, recess, and afternoon periods as needed
Working with individual children or small groups as directed by the lead teacher

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree
1+ years of classroom, camp or organized childcare experience

Schedule

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, plus 1 day Orientation/ Training before the start of Summer School (date TBD).

The Summer Academic Program, which is non-Montessori, will be convened in 2 sessions:

Session 1 - June 9 to June 20, 2025 (no school on the Juneteenth holiday, 6/19)
Session 2 - June 23 to July 3, 2025

Compensation

This is an in-person, temporary position, and pays a rate of $ 18.00 per hour.
