Reporting to School Leadership, The Student Experience Coordinator is responsible for the overall overseeing and executing the schools enrichment program.  The planning, coordination, and supervision of the school's aftercare programs. This includes managing day-to-day aftercare operations, coordinating of vendors, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for students outside of traditional school hours.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee all aspects of aftercare and execute enrichment programming for students.

  • Ensure implementation aligns with the school's mission, values, and student needs.

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where students are supported socially, emotionally, and academically.

Manage Coordination:

  • Manage enrichment vendors and internal facilitators.

  • Execute the schedule of enrichment offerings to families each session (e.g., seasonal or quarterly).

  • Monitor program quality and collect feedback to improve offerings and overall outcomes.

Staff Supervision:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise aftercare and staff and enrichment instructors.

  • Create and or execute the management of staff schedules to ensure adequate supervision and program coverage.

  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development to staff.

Family Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding aftercare and enrichment programs regarding day to day operations.

  • Communicate clearly and consistently about program logistics, behavior expectations, schedules, and registration processes.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all aftercare staff and vendors comply with school policies and licensing or safety requirements.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and emergency protocols.

  • Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior support in collaboration with school leadership.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage program needs regarding materials, attendance, and supply inventory.

  • Track and report program data (e.g., participation rates, student feedback, staff hours).

  • Support budget planning and expense tracking for enrichment and aftercare activities.



Instructional Support for Specials and Enrichment:

During the School Day ("Specials"):

  • Support special subject teachers (e.g., Art, Music, PE) with classroom management, transitions, and material prep.

  • Assist with student engagement and help differentiate instruction when appropriate.

  • Ensure smooth transitions to and from specials classes and reinforce school-wide expectations.

  • Communicate observations and support needs to teachers and school leaders.

After-School Enrichment Instruction:

  • Lead or co-facilitate enrichment sessions (e.g., arts, STEM, games, movement) when needed.

  • Plan developmentally appropriate, engaging, and inclusive enrichment activities aligned with student interests.

  • Observe and support enrichment instructors and vendors to maintain program quality and instructional consistency.

  • Provide feedback to facilitators and serve as a resource for instructional improvement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of experience working with school-age children in educational, recreational, or after-school settings

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Prior program and project coordination and management experience

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and external partners

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or related field

  • Previous experience in program coordination or youth program leadership

  • Familiarity with restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches

Compensation:

  • Salary 40,000-45,000

  • Benefits eligible  health, dental, PTO, professional development
